The HSE Coordinator is responsible to ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety regulations within assigned areas. This position helps implement and monitors safety initiatives to promote and create a safe working environment. The HSE Coordinator will work closely with the Director of HSE and other HSE Department members to develop and implement best practices that will keep work locations safe.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: An Associate degree, with 2 years’ combined experience in the Oil & Gas E&P Service industry. Possess some knowledge of transportation and logistics and Federal DOT Regulations. Ability to work individually and in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to use discretion with confidential information and work with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite experience. Use excellent customer service skills, establish and maintain harmonious relationships with other employees, contractors, customer representatives, officials, outside organizations, and representatives of local, state, and federal agencies. Possession of a valid driver’s license and safe driving record with ability to drive to company and customer locations in the regional area.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical, and professional work in analyzing and administering various components of the health, safety and environmental program.

Assist in the review, design, communication, coordination, implementation and monitoring of health, safety, security and environmental policies and programs.

Assist with periodic, health, safety, security and environmental audits in all JLE facilities and work locations.

Plan and promote safety programs.

Maintain knowledge of all applicable OSHA, EPA, DEP and DOT standards.

Work with health, safety, security and environmental representatives from external customer companies to promote and provide safety expertise and in the development and presentation of safety training materials.

Perform or assist with incident investigations as needed and take necessary corrective action to prevent future incidents.

Assist in the design and development of health, safety, security and environmental training programs.

Assist with, or coordinate, work area assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to determine the presence of hazardous conditions, such as noise exposure, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels, confined space, and ventilation.

Assist all locations with specific training needs, which will include instructing training classes.

Work Environment:

Work environment consists of office environment, manufacturing environment, and Oil & Gas well locations including all weather conditions and operation of light duty company vehicles.
